A List of the Dead

Ed Monahan kept a neat, handwritten list of 53 names with his World War II memorabilia. The list contains only the last name and rank of the soldiers, with no other indicator as to its meaning. Research into the history of the unit revealed that each of these names was a soldier from Company G killed in action. The list appears to be chronologically ordered, by date of death. While it has not yet been determined with absolute certainty if this is a complete list of those killed during the war, preliminary research seems to indicate that it is fairly close to complete, with likely only a few soldiers missing.

Photos of these men will be added as they become available. Currently, only a few photos have been collected. It is hoped that families of men who were killed will contribute additional photos in the future.
